Soap Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of artwork from Bay Area artists Chris Corales and Anne McGuire, which will be on view from April 13 – May 12, 2007,

Chris Corales works with the detritus of modern conveniences. "The manufactured needs that supply us with a variety of conveniences are quickly used up, discarded and destroyed. What remain are the scraps of post-consumption. Through its passing-by transit and deposit, by accident - that which is created in mass and monotony eventually takes on a new shape." Chris Corales is represented by Gregory Lind Gallery.

Anne McGuire is well known as a video artist, this show will feature her less known drawings and collages. Her new video ADVENTURE POSEIDON, THE, will screen at MOMA SF on March 29th. She has been making works on paper for many years. This exhibit will focus on her postcards, made to be sent through the mail, revealing a private/public correspondence between McGuire and her recipients.
